About the Artist

I am an abstract artist living in south-central Wisconsin with my husband and two sons.

My artistic process is very intuitive - I put down many, many layers of acrylic paints, inks, oil pastels and other mark-making materials, sometimes adding in old book papers, to create a finished piece with a lot of gorgeous depth, texture and interest. Some of my favorite tools include my beat up old brayers, palette knives and scrapers, even my fingers, and I very rarely use a paintbrush!

I paint on a lovely, heavy weight mixed-media paper and also on stretched canvas. When I'm painting, my focus can shift dramatically from start to finish, from one layer to the next, finding different color combinations and movement along the way.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my spot - I hope you like what you see and I hope you come again!
