I am an abstract artist living in south central Wisconsin with my husband and two sons.

My artistic process is very intuitive - I put down many, many layers of acrylic paints, inks, oil pastels and other mark-making materials, sometimes adding in old book papers, to create a finished piece with a lot of gorgeous depth, texture and interest. Some of my favorite tools include my beat up old brayers, palette knives and scrapers, even my fingers, and I very rarely use a paintbrush!

When I'm painting, my focus can shift dramatically from start to finish, from one layer to the next, finding different color combinations and movement along the way. Most recently I've been favoring creating on paper (I just love how they look when they've been matted and framed), but I do occasionally put a big canvas on my easel and you will see them pop up in my shop from time to time.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my spot - I hope you like what you see and I hope you come again!
